The first gift card to be offered online for the first time in nearly a decade, the new Gift Cards for Kids Card, is a bit of a surprise to those who expected the company to be more like the ones offered by the traditional retail chain.
But the company, based in New York, is the first to offer a giftcard, and it comes with some hefty caveats: Its card is for use only in U.S. and Canadian stores, and you need to have a valid credit card.
Also, it doesn’t come with an annual fee.
In fact, the card’s website notes that it will cost you $19.99 per year.
But for those who are looking to spend, the cards have an annual-fee waiver, and are available at retailers like Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Costco.
So, if you want to give kids a boost to their shopping, this is your best bet.
But, be warned, you may want to ask your kids about the card and the card issuer’s privacy policies.
